Ghost Hunters marathon
Watching the Ghost Hunters marathon while I finish threading my loom before work.
Monday October 21
I watched last weeks episode of Sleepy Hollow so that I would be all caught up for the new one that night. Nine o'clock rolled around and it was a rerun of the first episode. Needless to say I was very disappointed!

Netflix is a life saver
Today I'm watching a marathon of Tanked on Netflix. I usually watch marathons of a show when I have to work on a long project.
Over the past week I went to the movie theaters 3 times. I haven't been to the movie theaters that many times in one week since summer time. There is definetly something about going to see a movie on the big screen that beats watching it on my tiny TV screen at home.
Sunday October 13: Don Jon
Thursday October 17: Carrie
Saturday October 19: Gravity
Hour 3
For the last hour of my minnie marathon I watched Supernatural. This episode was kind of boring.....but I always find Deans comments to be hilarious. After that I went to go see the new remake of Carrie.

Hour 2
Finally got to watch the new season of The Walking Dead. The first episode was kind of boring....but it still had its suspenseful moments.
Update
I've been too busy with work and homework the past few days....so I haven't had time to watch any of my shows. That ends today! I have the day off and plan on having a marathon to catch up on every show.

Day 5
Total time: 2 hours and 30 minutes
I'm starting to see a recurring process with my study. I find that when I am doing these drawings I am just listening to the TV most of the time and occasionally looking up at the screan if I hear something interesting happening. I am also seeing that I'm taking the story line of the episode and creating my own illustrations for it...kind of like creating my own version of what's happening on TV.
When I was watching Project Runway today I didn't really draw anything that related to what was happening on tv. But because I was watching a show about fashion it put me in the mindset being a textile designer. So I started creating shapes that eventually formed an interesting pattern. I also find it interesting that I write down quotes in these drawings. I write down quotes that stand out to me or ones I connect with....these quotes also are reflected in the narrative of my drawings.

Day 4
Show(s): Supernatural, Project Runway and American Horror Story: Coven
Total time: 3 hours and 10 minutes
When I was watching Supernatural one thing that stood out to me was Deans sense of humor. Even though the show is about demons and hell, Dean still manages to be humorous about everything. One comment that he made was, "The sky was spitting out angels." I absolutely thought that the line was hilarious for some reason and I just imagined clouds spitting these angels to earth...so in my drawing I depicted that.
When I was watching Project Runway I found it hard to actually draw a lot of content. During the show I was thinking more about what designs I would come up with to send down the runway.
Before watching the new episode of American Horror Story I was kind of skeptical if I would like this season on not because I got lost during season 2 with the story line. Surprisingly this season doesn't look to be as confusing as the last but I did kind of get lost in regards to the fact of what to draw because I wasn't really having any thoughts during the show. Probably has something to do with the fact that I had a stressful night at work and just needed the TV to help me relax. The imagery that I did produce is mainly a pattern. Since the new theme for this season is witches I kept thinking about symbols and spell books. So I wanted to create my own "witch symbol" with hidden objects in it.

Day 3
Didn't get to watch any tv today because I got home late from school. Kind of bummed that I had to miss the Supernatural season premier, but hopefully I will get to watch it tomorrow morning.

Day 2
Show(s): Sleepy Hollow
Total time: 1 hour
I was a little worried today that I wouldn't get around to watching my show because I had a lot of homework to finish. But thankfully I got a good portion of it done after work today. My dad was the one who told me about this new show, Sleepy Hollow, and I knew that I was going to get hooked on it. It is only the third episode and it has grabbed my attention. Just like yesterday my inspiration for this doodle came from a quote one of the characters said, "In due time Hell will be upon us." During the show I had my ups and downs of wanting to draw something. Thats why this doodle is smaller. This doodle also has many violent lines because the show is very intense and graphic at times.

Day 1
Show(s): Once Upon A Time
Total hours watched: 1 hour
Started off being very inspired by the story line of the show so I drew my own interpretation of what was happening on the TV. During the show one of the characters mentioned something about "The heart of the chosen one," that was my starting point for this doodle. I made the heart the biggest object in this piece because that is the main theme behind this show and the objects that were formed around it were a story that I was creating in my read. About 40 minutes into the program I started to lose interest and you can see that in my drawing because I started to draw patterns and random things that had nothing to do with what was happening on the TV.
